During this session, the participants will learn to conceptualize the development of a food product through the lens of four interrelated components (Product, Positioning, End-User, and Packaging).
5/5/22 - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
During this session, the participants will learn about the role of a food scientist, how to create a Schedule Process, labeling requirements, and food safety practices.
5/12/22 - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
During this session, the participants will learn about the options for producing food products and how to work with a co-packer.
5/19/22 - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
During this session, the participants will learn about label and logo design, marketing materials, online marketing and selling, and advertising.
5/26/22 - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
During this session, the participants will hear about selling and promotion techniques from a successful food entrepreneur and how to work with farmers markets from the Troy Farmers Market manager.
6/2/22 - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
During this session, the participants will learn about using a distributor, working with food retailers, and using other sales channels.
6/9/22 - 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
During this session, the participants will learn about how to set pricing, managing product profitability, and managing inventory

During this session, the participants will learn how to develop financial forecasts and a strategic plan for creating their business.
